A Narrative of Technological Resilience
From the book: City, Data, Intelligence
For me, the Shahr Online project was never just a software initiative. It was a story of hope, perseverance, and the struggle against bureaucracy, gender biases, and rigid institutional structures.
Throughout the journey, I encountered both overt and subtle discrimination, insufficient support, arbitrary behaviors, and frameworks that appeared to promote innovation but, in practice, added burdens to the innovators themselves.
A full account of the documents, interactions, and pathways will be presented in a separate version of this book. I have consciously avoided naming the institutions or individuals who obstructed the project—not out of fear, but in the hope that human conscience will one day awaken.
