Pregnancy, Pressures, and Continuing the Journey

From the book: City, Data, Intelligence

In 2015, while my first child had just been born, a series of unfortunate events turned the path of Shahr Online into a full-scale challenge. At a major exhibition, I discovered a project being showcased with structural similarities to our own at an official booth. Legal action was considered, but the pressures—from both inside and outside the team—were so intense that continuing the journey became extremely difficult.

Despite all these hardships, we retained our core team and even planned to present the project in other provinces. Yet, each time, changes in management or institutional distrust blocked our progress.

On top of this, we faced discouragement from some internal colleagues, who not only failed to contribute to the project’s advancement but also caused organizational issues. This eventually led to their departure and generated complications with regulatory and insurance bodies.
