Legal Deadlocks and the Escalation of Financial Crisis
From the book: City, Data, Intelligence
In an effort to resolve financial issues and settle bounced checks, we sought support through another fund affiliated with a national institution. However, the structure of this facility complicated matters rather than alleviating them. The funds were not transferred to our company but instead paid directly to the first fund, while new checks were requested from us. Unfortunately, the new checks also bounced before the old ones could be cleared, worsening the situation further.
During this period, one of the academic centers that had previously provided financial support demanded repayment of both principal and interest without considering the extraordinary circumstances. Negotiations and submitted documentation proved futile, and since the original contract had never been formalized, a heavy financial burden fell upon the team.
All of these challenges prompted me to share my personal experience through the series #MyTechnologyStory, with the hope of shedding light for future innovators and serving as a wake-up call for decision-makers who may be unaware of the depth of challenges faced by technologists.
